Who looks after your information
Sue O’Mara Wildlife Art is responsible for personal information collected through this website and retreat enquiries. Contact Sue at sueomara.wildlifeart@gmail.com. Postal address: Balure Croft, Tayinloan, Tarbert, PA29 6XG.
When you enquire about a retreat
The March 2027 Spain retreat form asks for your first name, email address, preferred week and number of guests. Your last name and any questions are optional. Please avoid including payment details, passport details or sensitive medical information.
Sue uses this information to reply, check availability and discuss a possible booking. These steps are taken at your request before entering a booking contract. General questions are handled in Sue’s legitimate interest in responding to people interested in her work. Required fields help Sue answer your enquiry; you can contact her by email instead. Submitting the form does not reserve a room, take payment or subscribe you to a newsletter.
The enquiry service and website
Connect2Build provides and supports the enquiry form using HighLevel. Your submission is stored in that system, a confirmation is emailed to you and a notification containing your answers is sent to Sue. Authorised support staff may access enquiries to maintain the service. Technical information, such as IP address and browser details, may be processed by hosting, email and anti-spam providers to deliver and protect the service. The website is hosted through IONOS; the form uses Cloudflare bot protection.
HighLevel and its service providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. HighLevel’s Data Processing Agreement provides for UK transfer safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable. Its subprocessor list identifies supporting providers. Contact Sue for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
Website comments
If you leave a comment where comments are available, WordPress collects the details entered in the comment form, your IP address and browser information to help manage comments and detect spam. Your approved comment and display name can be public. An email-derived identifier may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile picture; see Automattic’s privacy notice. Comments and their metadata may be retained while relevant to the published discussion. You can ask Sue to review or remove your information.
Cookies and advertising measurement
This website uses WordPress cookies for essential functions such as signing in, and the enquiry service uses security and anti-spam technology. If you choose to save your details when commenting, WordPress can remember them for a later comment. External services such as Google Fonts and Gravatar may receive your IP address and browser information when their content is requested.
With your consent to Marketing cookies, we use the Meta Pixel on the Southern Spain retreat page to record page visits and completed enquiries and understand the performance of our Facebook and Instagram adverts. Consent is the basis for this optional advertising measurement. You can reject marketing cookies and still read the retreat information, submit an enquiry or contact Sue.
The pixel sends page-visit and completed-enquiry events to Meta. Our custom tracking code does not include your name, email address or enquiry message in these events. Meta may also receive your IP address, browser and device information, the page address, event time and advertising identifiers. It may link this information with other information it holds, including a Facebook or Instagram account, and process it in other countries as explained in Meta’s Privacy Policy. That policy explains Meta’s purposes, retention, international processing and privacy controls.
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using Manage consent on this website. This stops further advertising measurement by our pixel without affecting your ability to enquire or the lawfulness of earlier processing. Withdrawal does not delete information already received by Meta; you can use Meta’s privacy controls or contact Sue about your rights. See our Cookie Policy for the advertising cookies, their usual lifetimes and how to remove them.
How long information is kept
Enquiries about the March 2027 retreats that do not become bookings will be deleted three months after the March retreats end, in June 2027, unless a conversation is still ongoing. Ongoing enquiries will be reviewed when the conversation ends and removed when no longer needed. This applies to the enquiry system and related email correspondence. Booking and payment records are handled separately and kept for as long as needed to administer the booking, meet applicable accounting obligations or deal with a dispute; they are not covered by the unsuccessful-enquiry deletion period. Backup copies may remain until the provider’s normal backup cycle replaces them.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact Sue using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
