I am a wildlife artist living in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Inspiration, for me, comes from looking at the amazing scenery and wildlife that inhabits it. Sometimes I am moved to paint wildlife from further afield and that is a wonderful change for me.
Painting commissions is also something I love to do and the joy of handing someone a new piece of art is always so rewarding.
Being a third generation artist, following my lovely mum, who was a water colourist, and my fabulously eccentric grandfather, who was an oil painter, makes me feel very lucky indeed that I might have inherited some of their skills. I paint mostly in oils, pastels and coloured pencil. All very different so I let the subject dictate the medium.
